Review: Are Prague Airport Toilets the Best in Europe?
A deep dive into the sanitary facilities at Václav Havel Airport Prague. Cleanliness, design, and accessibility reviewed.

When traveling, the quality of airport restrooms can significantly impact your experience. We visited Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG) to see if their toilets live up to the city's reputation for modern infrastructure.
First Impressions: Terminal 2
Terminal 2, which handles flights within the Schengen area, features some of the most modern restrooms we've seen in any European airport. The design is sleek, with stainless steel accents and large, well-lit mirrors.
Cleanliness Score: 9/10
During our three visits at different times of the day, the facilities were consistently spotless. Attendants are clearly working on a high-frequency cleaning schedule.
Accessibility and Features
Prague Airport takes accessibility seriously. Every restroom cluster includes:
- Wheelchair accessible cabins that exceed ČSN 73 4108 standards.
- Baby changing stations that are spacious and clean.
- Eurokey access for specialized facilities.
The Verdict
While "best in Europe" is a bold claim, Prague Airport is definitely in the top tier. The combination of free access, high maintenance standards, and modern design makes it a gold standard for public hygiene in the Czech Republic.
Pros:
- Free of charge
- High cleaning frequency
- Excellent accessibility
- Modern design
Cons:
- Can be crowded during peak flight waves in Terminal 1
